AIMS & CODE OF PRACTICE

Good Shepherd Day Nursery believes in a holistic approach to Childcare and Education which includes working in partnership with parents and the authorities to provide consistent high quality childcare which meets the needs of the individual child. It is our aim to provide care and an early learning environment, which is tailored to each individual child’s needs, in a safe, secure, happy and relaxed surroundings.

Code of Practice

​ To provide for the diverse and challenging needs of each child enabling them to participate in activities that seek to enhance their intellectual, creative, spiritual, social, physical and emotional individual growth. To offer children the experience of communication and socialism with people regardless of race, culture, creed or special needs. To offer and support a stimulating and varied learning environment, to enable each child to reach their full potential. To ensure all children encounter equal opportunities, respect and an anti-discriminatory environment when on Bright Star Premises. To work in partnership with parent/carers for the benefit of the child. To actively maintain and pursue high ethical standards which openly encourages communication with other agencies. To provide a warm, safe and stimulating atmosphere that actively encourages a child led environment. To uphold all GSDN aims and strategies.
