Good Shepherd Day Nursery Board of Trustees are the guardians of the Preschool's mission. It is the Board’s responsibility to ensure that the mission is appropriate, relevant and vital to the community that it serves, as well as to monitor the success of the preschool in fulfilling its mission.

Good Shepherd's Day Nursery Board of Trustees and the supporting committees, staffed by Board and staff members, are actively engaged in programme, finance, and facilities planning, as well as implementation and oversight. The Board’s business of providing guidance and counsel to the Executive Director and Preschool Director, as well as direction and support to the preschool's operations, growth, and development is conducted through the inner workings of the Board Trustees.

Board members are chosen for the skills and expertise they can bring to the Board. In addition to a proven commitment to GSDN and an interest in promoting education, Board members are selected to help assure a balance and background that will facilitate the strategic plans and vision of the preschool. We also retain emeritus members for continuity and outside support. To ensure that all communities at the preschool are represented, the Board includes ex officio members from the administration as well.
